Series Ventures Holds Three-Day Intensive Scale-Up Camp for Busan Deep Tech and AX Startups

Series Ventures (시리즈벤처스), an accelerator focused on South Korea's southeastern region and led by co-chief executives Kwak Sung-wook and Park Jun-sang, said on Sept. 14 that it had held the 2026 Busan Startup Accelerating Programme's advanced camp on deep tech and AX, a session devoted to reviewing the business models and investment strategies of startups based in Busan.

The camp, held from Sept. 8 to Sept. 10, was aimed at promising startups in the Busan area and sought to strengthen the competitiveness companies need at the stage of actually raising investment. Rather than classroom-style instruction, it was run with company-specific feedback and hands-on sessions.

The camp set deep tech and AX as its main themes, in line with a venture investment market that has recently placed weight on technology and scalability. Over the three days, participating companies reviewed and worked out the core tasks required at their respective growth stages. About 30 people attended, including the participating companies and specialists in venture investment and entrepreneurship.

"It is important that promising technology companies in the region are objectively assessed from the perspective of the market and of investors, and that this is then connected to actual investment opportunities," said co-chief executives Kwak Sung-wook and Park Jun-sang of Series Ventures.

"Drawing on the early-stage investment experience Series Ventures has built up and on our network in the regional startup ecosystem, we will continue to provide practical acceleration and investment connections so that competitive deep tech and AX companies can keep growing in Busan as well," they added.
